Service Fees
Use of agents
We recognise that many international students will want to use an agent to help advise and support them through the application processes for pre-university and university programmes, as well as on other aspects of the decision to live and study abroad. We want to help ensure that our future students use reputable agents wherever possible - agents who meet our high service standards, comply with best standard protocols, and above all act with your best interests in mind. To help you identify these agents we keep a register of our “Approved Agents” by country which you can obtain on request.
Agent fees
Our Approved Agents should ask you to sign a written agreement early in the process, to make it clear exactly what services they are going to supply to you prior to you deciding where you ultimately want to study and to assist you in achieving a place at your chosen location. The Approved Agent may charge a fee for their advice to you. However, where this is the case (and if certain routine conditions are met) we will reduce your tuition fee up to a maximum amount to cover all or part of this cost. At our discretion, this amount will be paid by us to your Approved Agent on your behalf from the full tuition fees you pay to us, or alternatively can be refunded to you for you to pass on to your Approved Agent. The current maximum amounts we will pay on your behalf are stated below. (Please note that if you agree with your Approved Agent to pay a higher amount than these maximum amounts, or if your agent is not an Approved Agent, you will remain liable to pay any such sum owing to that agent.) The aim of this arrangement is to ensure consistently high service quality from our Approved Agents to all our prospective students, and indeed all students wishing to study at any location in the UK. If you experience any problems regarding your relationship with an Approved Agent, please contact us and we will try to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
